Step A. Installation (If already installed, skip to step B)
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to “Plugins” > “Add New”.
- Click “Upload”.
- Click “Choose File”, browse to the plugin ZIP file you have downloaded.
- Click “Install Now”.
- Once the plugin is installed, click “Activate”.
Step B. Add a Link Group.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to “Links” > “Link Groups”.
- Give the Link Group an appropriate name like “Footer Links” or “Sidebar Links”.
- Leave the slug blank and the description is optional.
- Click “Add New Links Group”.
Step C. Add a New Link
- In your WordPress Dashboard, go to “Links” > “Add New”.
- Enter the Title of the Link (EG: “Facebook”).
- Under “Link Groups”, check off the group or groups that this link belongs to (EG: “Footer Links”)
- Fill out the URL, the Link Type, and the Open Type.
- Save/Update the Link.
Step D. Using the MP Links Widget
- To display your links using the widget, go to “Appearance” > “Widgets”.
- Find the “MP Links” Widget and drag it to a Widgetized (EG: “Sidebar”) area on the right.
- Select a Link Group to display and save.
- Your link group will now appear in that Widgetized area on your website.
Step E. Using the Shortcode
- To display your links using the shortcode, go to any post or page.
- Use the “Insert Links” button just below the title.
- Select a Link Group and click “Insert Links”.
